UP Program Overview
Intensive Spanish course with an academic and professional focus. Designed to reach B2 level in under a year and access higher education or the professional world in Spain.
Flexible duration
The full program lasts between 7 and 11 months, depending on the starting level (A1 or B1).
Intensive course load
20 hours per week with 55-minute classes from Monday to Friday.
Seasonal intakes
September to November; January, March and June. Schedules: mornings, midday or afternoons, depending on availability.
From A1 to B2
Block 1: A1 to B1 in 4–6 months. Block 2: B1 to B2 in 3–5 months.
Options after B1
Access to academic and professional orientation modules such as the IBP program or University Pathway.
Certification included
Final course certificate + optional guidance for official exams such as DELE and SIELE.

¿Quieres estudiar en una universidad pública española? En BCNLIP UP te preparamos paso a paso para lograrlo. Somos centro asociado a la UNED y ofrecemos un programa completo de 9 o 12 meses para estudiantes internacionales que necesitan aprender español o catalán y superar las Pruebas de Competencias Específicas (PCE).
Continuous assessment
Assessment is continuous: we look at what you do every day in class, your assignments and weekly progress.
Daily work
There are tests, but daily work and progress carry more weight.
Reports and recommendations
You will receive clear reports and recommendations for improvement.
Real-life situations
We want you to function in real situations: understanding, speaking, reading and writing confidently, interacting with people from different cultures and organizing your studies.
Activity portfolio
Portfolio with self-assessment tasks for each unit and extracurricular activities.
Class attendance
At least 80% in-person attendance is mandatory.
